Cookie Consent Configuration (Campaign Level)

Cookie Setup in Scratcher (Commerce 4.0)


Scratcher provides a built-in cookie solution as part of Commerce 4.0, allowing you to display a cookie consent banner to users visiting your campaign. This feature helps you: Inform users about cookies, Collect consent, and Customize how cookies are presented.



To enable cookies in your campaign:

  1. Open your campaign in the platform
  2. Go to Configure (Step 3 in the editor)
  3. Click on Settings

Here, you will find the cookie configuration options.


To activate cookies:

  • Find Enable Cookie Notice
  • Toggle it ON

Once enabled, a new Settings section will appear below. This section allows you to fully customize how the cookie popup is displayed.


3. Content Setup (Text & Messaging)

Inside the cookie settings, you can define the content shown to users. You can customize:

  • Header (title of the cookie popup)
  • Description text (main message shown to users)

This is where you explain how and why cookies are used in your campaign.


Advanced Settings

Under the Settings section, you can further customize details such as:

  • Fonts (header and description styling)
  • Privacy Policy URL
  • Cookie duration
  • Cookie descriptions

This allows you to tailor the cookie message to your legal and branding requirements.


You can also configure expandable sections (accordions) to provide more detailed information. These typically include:

  • Required Cookies
    • Title
    • Description
  • Analytics Cookies
    • Title
    • Description

This helps users understand different types of cookies and their purpose.


Buttons

You can customize the buttons shown in the cookie popup:

  • Accept button
  • Reject button
  • Save button

These buttons allow users to control their cookie preferences.



To adjust the visual appearance:

  • Go to the Styling section (on the right side in the editor)

Here, you can:

  • Choose a theme (e.g. Light or Dark)
  • Select layout type (e.g. Box or Bar)
  • Apply custom design settings

This allows you to match the cookie banner to your campaign design.
