Introducing the Updated Scratcher Editor
Introducing the Updated Scratcher Editor
A simpler, more intuitive campaign-building experience.
We've updated the Scratcher platform with a stronger focus on usability and a more guided campaign-building flow. The purpose of this update is simple: to make campaign setup easier, faster, and more intuitive — without removing any of the functionality you already know. The update focuses on:
- A clearer and more intuitive UX
- A more logical campaign setup flow
- Reduced complexity when building campaigns
- Better guidance throughout setup
Important: Your existing campaigns, campaign data, statistics, and historical performance data remain unchanged. Nothing will be lost or affected — the update only changes the editor experience and platform structure. All existing functionality remains available. This is purely a structural and UX improvement.

The New Editor Structure
The campaign editor is now organized into three clear steps: Layout, Flow and Options.
1. Layout
The Layout step defines the visual foundation of your campaign. Here, we recommend using a Designkit as a time-saving solution (and we're happy to help set it up based on your brand guidelines). The Designkit allows you to:
- Reuse branding across campaigns
- Maintain visual consistency
- Speed up setup significantly
Simply select your saved kit with logos, fonts, colors, images, and backgrounds for both desktop and mobile.

2. Campaign Flow
This is where you build the actual campaign experience.

You can:
- Add steps using Add Step
- Build flows with drag & drop
- Insert games and interactive elements

We've also introduced a new Reorder feature, making it easier to:
- Rearrange campaign steps
- Build a stronger flow structure
- Avoid setup mistakes

Each game step now includes clear options for adding either a Prize or a Draw, making the setup process more intuitive.

3. Options
Options contains advanced settings and campaign integrations. It is divided into three sections:

Connect
The Connect panel is where you link your campaign to external tools and services. It contains five sections:
- Integrations – Connect your preferred marketing and data platforms
- Tracking – Set up pixel tracking and analytics tools to monitor campaign performance
- Webhooks – Send real-time event data to external systems
- Products – Link products directly to your campaign
- Emails – Configure transactional and follow-up emails tied to campaign events

Emails
The email setup works as you know it today — now with a cleaner structure for:
- Creating and editing templates
- Connecting emails to campaign events
- Reusing setups across campaigns
Once configured, simply return to the Campaign Flow to continue building.

Settings
- Participation
- Embed & URL
- Localization
- Global Effects
- Cookies
- Security
- Draw

Device Views (Desktop, Mobile and Tablet)
The platform supports both desktop and mobile as the primary device experiences. The setup automatically scales across screen sizes, keeping things consistent and straightforward.
If needed, a tablet view can still be enabled via settings — for example, for specific use cases or events. Reach out to your Scratcher Customer Success contact if you'd like help setting it up.

Navigation
The Scratcher logo in the left corner now acts as your central navigation menu. From here, you can:
- View all campaigns (return to the full campaign overview)
- Create, copy, or delete campaigns
- Grant support access
- Add internal notes
- Rename campaigns

Statistics & Preview
We've updated how you access both campaign data and previews. Statistics (previously "Dashboard") contains the same overview as before, where you can view all campaign performance data. Access it via the bar chart icon in the top-right corner of the editor.

Preview now works in two simple ways:
- Internal preview – accessed via "Preview" in the top-right corner, allowing you to test the campaign directly inside the editor

- Shareable preview link – accessed via "Campaign view" next to it, where you can either generate a QR code for easy scanning or copy a direct preview link for external sharing
This makes it easier to test, review, and share campaigns without affecting your data or reporting.

Publishing
Publishing is still done from the top-right corner via Publish. The setup remains familiar, but has been made clearer and more structured. You can define:
- Start and end date (as before)
- Or choose an Always-on campaign with only a start date (as before)
Under promotion method, you can choose between:
- Landing page campaign – your hosted Scratcher URL, which you can copy directly below
- Embedded campaign – generate an embed script, which can be copied with one click
If you choose the embed option, you'll find a simple guide explaining how to add the script to your website. Once everything is set, just click Publish — and the campaign goes live.

System Guidance
A built-in guidance assistant helps identify missing or incomplete setup elements before publishing. This is meant as support — not a restriction. You still have full flexibility in how your campaigns are built.
