Pop-Up Triggers

How to set up pop-up triggers

In Scratcher, you can control when and how your pop-up appears by configuring different trigger options.

1. Navigate to display settings

Open your pop-up and go to Step 3: Options, then select Display.
In this section, you’ll find Targeting, Triggers, and Settings.

2. Configure triggers

Go to the Triggers section to define when your pop-up should appear.
You have several options:

Show after delay

Enable this option to display the pop-up after a set number of seconds.
You can define exactly how long after the page loads the pop-up should appear.

Exit intent

Activate this trigger to show the pop-up when a user is about to leave the page.

Scroll trigger

Display the pop-up when a user scrolls down the page.
You can control how far the user needs to scroll before it appears.

3. Advanced triggers

Click trigger

You can show the pop-up when a user clicks a specific element on your page.

  • Enable Click trigger
  • Click Add selector
  • Choose the relevant class or element

This allows you to connect the pop-up to buttons, links, or other clickable elements.

4. IP targeting

Whitelist IP

Restrict the pop-up so only specific IP addresses can see it.
Useful for internal testing or targeting specific users.

Blacklist IP

Exclude certain IP addresses from seeing the pop-up.

5. Final step

Once your triggers are set up, test them to ensure they behave as expected across different scenarios.
