Scratch Card/Item

Scratch Card / Scratch Item Setup

What a Scratch Card / Scratch Item Campaign Can Be Used For

Scratch Card and Scratch Item campaigns let users interact with a digital scratch experience by scratching a surface to reveal a prize, product, or message underneath. The difference between the two formats is:

  • Scratch Card: Uses a full background image that is scratched
  • Scratch Item: Uses individual elements (e.g. products or icons), making setup more flexible and structured

It is ideal for: Prize campaigns, Product reveals, Engagement activations, and Promotional games.

Setting Up the Campaign

Start by opening your campaign and selecting either:

  • Scratch Card
  • Scratch Item

Then:

  • Add your design
  • Configure the game settings
  • Customize layout and content

Settings

In the Settings section, you can define how the scratch experience behaves:

  • Set the number of cards/items users must scratch
  • Choose up to 9 items total
  • Define how many items appear per row
  • Set the percentage of the surface that must be scratched to reveal content underneath

💡 Important: Setting reveal percentage to 100% may reduce engagement, especially with larger images.

Prizes

You can define what users reveal when scratching:

  • Add prize icons and prize information
  • Configure what appears when a prize is revealed
  • Save your setup

Any remaining items will automatically appear as No prize. You can also adjust:

  • Quantity of winning vs non-winning items
  • Distribution of prizes under the scratch layer

Scratch Coin / Scratch Tool

You can customize the scratching tool:

  • Replace with your logo
  • Use a product image
  • Use any branded visual element

You can also:

  • Add shadow effects for better depth and realism

Individual Card / Item Customization

Each scratch card or item can be customized individually:

  • Adjust size
  • Adjust positioning
  • Control layout per item

Icon Beneath the Card / Item

You can replace the hidden content under each scratch surface with:

  • Products
  • Images
  • Icons
  • Campaign-specific visuals

Important Setup Note (Scratch Item vs Scratch Card) If you are using Scratch Item (not full background): Ensure both the card image and background are uploaded correctly. This ensures proper layering and visual consistency.

Positioning & Preview

You can:

  • Adjust size and placement of the hidden icon
  • Use the Show toggle to preview positioning in real time

Example Setup

A typical Scratch Item setup could look like:

  • Product image hidden underneath each item
  • Scratch layer covering each product
  • Mixed distribution of prizes and non-prizes
  • Branded scratch tool used for interaction
