Smash It

Smash It – Campaign Setup Guide

What a Smash It Game Can Be Used For

A Smash It Game is an interactive, fast-paced game where users tap or “smash” appearing elements as quickly as possible. The experience is designed to create high engagement through reaction-based gameplay and simple mechanics. It is ideal for:

  • Gamified marketing campaigns
  • Engagement and awareness activations
  • Product or brand interaction experiences
  • Time-based challenges and competitions
  • Lead generation and conversion-focused activations

Setting Up the Game

When you enter the Game section and clik on the game/select Slice It, you will see a left-hand menu with several configuration options in **Content **and Settings.

Background

In the Content section, you can:

  • Set and customise the background behind the falling items
  • Define the visual environment of the game experience

Cursor

You can also customise the platform, which is the object shown and items will come from up.
This can be:

  • A product
  • A logo
  • Or any custom visual asset

Items Setup

Under Items, you can:

  • Upload items individually
  • Assign point values to each item
  • Use both positive and negative points

To assign negative points, simply add a minus (-) in front of the value.
You can add as many items as needed, and preview them directly in the editor.

Game Settings

In the left-hand menu under Settings, you will find advanced options.

Start Game Settings

You can define:

  • How the game starts (default behaviour or customised start button logic)
  • Countdown settings before the game begins

You can also replace default text such as:

  • “Ready – Set – Go”

with localised versions like:

  • “Klar – Parat – Start”

Timing & Difficulty

You can control:

  • How fast items show
  • Game duration (minutes/seconds)
  • Whether the game is time-based or score-based
  • Whether the game ends when a target score is reached

Prize & Outcome Logic (Important)

It is essential to define clear outcomes based on score.
You must always include:

  • A No Prize outcome
  • A Prize outcome

If users do not reach the required score, they should see a no-prize result page. If they reach the target score, they should see a prize or other result page indicated they made it.

⚠️ Important: Ensure you have enough prizes available if users are likely to reach the required score. Otherwise, consider alternatives such as: unlimited prizes or a draw among qualifying users.

Leaderboard (Optional)

If you want to increase competition and engagement, you can add a Leaderboard via the “New Page” section. This allows users to:

  • Track scores
  • Compare performance with others
  • Follow ranking progression
