Design Kit Setup in Scratcher

What is a DesignKit?

The DesignKit is the foundation of every campaign in Scratcher. When you create a new campaign, the first step in the campaign flow is Layout, and within this section you will find the DesignKit. The DesignKit allows you to define a reusable design system so you do not need to build the visual setup from scratch every time you create a new campaign.

💡 The main purpose of a DesignKit is to speed up campaign creation and ensure consistent design across all campaigns.

Where to Find the DesignKit

To access the DesignKit:

  1. Open your campaign
  2. Go to the Campaign Flow
  3. Go to the first step: Layout
  4. Click into Design Kit (marked in the editor)

From here, you can configure all global design settings.

Background Settings

In the DesignKit, you can define the campaign background. You have the following options:

  • Background color
  • Background image

You can also define different backgrounds for:

  • Desktop
  • Mobile

This allows you to fully optimize the experience across devices.

Background Image Requirements

To ensure correct display, use the following image sizes:

  • Desktop: 1404 × 2496 px
  • Mobile: 494 × 1098 px

It is important to use the correct dimensions to avoid cropping or layout issues.

Typography (Text Styling)

The DesignKit allows you to define global text styling for your campaign. You can customize:

  • Font family
  • Font color
  • Font size
  • Text styles per level

This applies to all main text types:

  • Paragraph
  • Heading 1
  • Heading 2
  • Heading 3
  • Heading 4

This ensures consistent typography throughout the entire campaign.

You can also define how links appear in your campaign text.

This includes:

  • Link color
  • Hover/interaction styling

This ensures that all links follow your brand identity.

Logo Setup

Within the DesignKit, you can upload your campaign logo. Recommended format:

  • SVG file (preferred for scalability)

You can also define how the logo is displayed:

  • Small
  • Medium
  • Large
  • Custom size

This ensures the logo is consistently placed across all campaign screens.

Button Styling

The DesignKit also controls the default styling for all buttons in the campaign.

You can configure:

  • Background color
  • Text color
  • Font style and size
  • Border style
  • Button shape and radius

You also have the option to upload custom button assets, although this is used less frequently.

Why the Design Kit is Important

The DesignKit is essential because it allows you to:

  • Reuse design settings across campaigns
  • Maintain consistent branding
  • Speed up campaign setup
  • Avoid rebuilding design elements every time

Instead of designing each campaign from scratch, you simply select an existing DesignKit and apply it.
