Countdown for Live Campaign Date (Pre-registration)

Countdown Setup – Campaign Pre-Launch Page

If you want to add a countdown to your campaign, you need to use the pre-registration flow page. This is typically used to inform users that a campaign is coming soon and is not yet live.

How to add a countdown

To set up a countdown:

  • Add the pre-registration flow page (LA page)
  • This page will automatically display a default countdown message:

“The campaign starts in X days, hours, minutes, and seconds”

Editing the countdown page

Once the page is added, you can:

  • Click into the page to edit the text
  • Change the labels (days, hours, minutes, seconds) to your preferred language
  • Adjust what elements are shown in the countdown

You can choose whether to display:

  • All four time units (days, hours, minutes, seconds)
  • Or a simplified version with fewer units

Countdown logic

In the dropdown settings, you must define what the countdown is based on:

  • Campaign start (most commonly used)
  • End date
  • Hour-based countdown

We strongly recommend using campaign start, meaning:

  • The countdown runs until the campaign goes live
  • Once the start time is reached, users are automatically redirected into the campaign flow

Use cases

Pre-registration countdowns are commonly used for:

  • Seasonal campaigns (e.g. Christmas launches)
  • Product or campaign teasers
  • Client announcements before launch

This helps build anticipation and awareness before the campaign goes live.

Testing the countdown

To properly test the flow:

  • Set the campaign publish time to a future date/time
  • Use the correct timezone settings
  • Preview the campaign via the live URL

Important note

When the campaign reaches its live time:

  • The countdown page will automatically switch to the campaign flow
  • In some cases, a page refresh may be required to update the view immediately
